Things to note during feed production

Pay attention to the removal of impurities from raw materials

We generally believe that in the impurity removal process of raw materials, attention should be paid to magnetic screening to protect the equipment. In fact, while paying attention to protecting the equipment, we should also pay more attention to cleaning up the debris (broken grains, quilts) in raw materials such as grains (corn, wheat, rice). Oxidized particles, sand, etc.) and various mycotoxins and harmful bacteria hidden in the debris.

A large amount of impurities are mixed into feed ingredients. If not cleaned in advance, it will affect product quality and even affect the production performance of animals. Equipment will be lost during the processing and production will be affected. At present, cereal raw materials, such as corn, account for a large proportion in feed formulas. Since corn contains a lot of impurities such as corn stalks, cobs, corn cobs, root stubble, and sand, it provides suitable growth for molds, bacteria, and pests. environment.

Currently, replacing part of corn with wheat is of great significance to save feed costs. However, the impurity content in wheat is relatively high. Removing impurities from wheat is the key to using good wheat. The non-starch polysaccharide content in wheat is higher than that in corn. In addition, the starch content is high and the viscosity is high. When using wheat instead of corn, appropriate changes should be made in the processing technology. At the same time, high-quality enzyme preparations and low compression ratio ring molds should be selected.

Choose a suitable crushing process

The crushing of raw materials plays an important role in feed processing and has a significant impact on the production performance of livestock and poultry. After crushing , the surface area of  the feed is increased, which increases the opportunity for the nutrients in the feed to come into contact with digestive enzymes, thereby improving the utilization rate of nutrients in the feed. The characteristics of gastrointestinal development and digestive physiological characteristics of animals at different growth stages have different requirements for the fineness of materials. In order to meet the requirements of crushing fineness, the crushing process gradually develops from single crushing to secondary crushing and ultra-fine crushing.

Different pulverizer types also have a great impact on the crushing fineness and uniformity of materials, so the selection of pulverizer is very critical.
