How to use horizontal condenser?

2022-06-15 701read Source:Henan Huatai Group

The condensers currently used include shell and tube condensers, spray condensers, etc., and plate condensers developed in recent years, among which shell and tube condensers are the most common. There are many types of tube and tube condensers, as shown in the figure, it is a horizontal tube and tube condenser, which is widely used in leaching equipment.

Condenser operation and maintenance points

1. When the leaching process is notified to start up, the corresponding condensers should open the cooling water inlet and outlet valves in advance, so that the condensers are in the running state, so as to prevent uncondensed solvent gas from escaping from the tail gas outlet, resulting in increased solvent.

2. During operation, the temperature of the cold water used in the condenser should preferably be kept below 25°C, the temperature of the water after heat exchange should not exceed 35°C (not exceeding 40°C in summer), and the temperature of the condensate flowing out of the condenser should not exceed 40°C ( not exceed 45°C in summer). However, if the water source is difficult and cooling water with a lower temperature cannot be obtained, the temperature of the outlet water can be slightly increased, but at the same time, the inspection and cleaning of scale should be strengthened to prevent the increase of solvents.

3. During production, if it is found that the difference between the outlet water temperature and the inlet water temperature of the condenser is small, but the condensate temperature is high, it may be caused by serious fouling of the condenser or short circuit caused by corrosion of the baffle plate; if it is found that there is a solvent in the water , indicating a leak in the condenser. No matter what the situation is, you should stop the car immediately for inspection, and then drive again when it is normal.

4. For steaming and drying condensers, special attention should be paid to the situation of meal powder in the mixed steam. If there is more meal powder in the mixed steam, it may cause serious fouling of the condenser if it is light, and the condensate containing more meal powder will enter The water separator may block the anti-siphon pipe of the water separator, so that the solvent is siphoned and escapes with the waste water.

5. The corresponding equipment of each condenser should be stopped for half an hour before the condensate can be stopped. When parking, if the temperature is low, the water stored in the condenser should be emptied to prevent damage to the equipment due to freezing.

Condenser common faults and treatment methods

Symptom

Failure Cause

Processing Method

Condenser surface is hot (too hot)

1. The quality of the cooling water source is poor, and the temperature itself is high;

2. The temperature of solvent vapor is high;

3. Severe fouling on the surface of the tubes;

4. The condensation area is too small.

1. Improve the quality of cooling water source, and add cooling water equipment if necessary;

2. When the process conditions are met, do not overheat the solvent gas;

3. Clean the condenser in time;

4. If the output of related equipment increases, the corresponding condenser will also increase.

The difference between the outlet water temperature and the inlet water temperature of the condenser is small

1. Condenser baffle corrosion short circuit;

2. Severe fouling of the condenser

1. Replace the baffle during maintenance;

2. Remove the scaling of the condenser in time.

Tube damage

1. If individual pipes are damaged, seal both ends of the damaged pipes, overhaul and replace with new pipes;

2. If the tube is more damaged, stop using it immediately and replace the condenser with a new one.
