Before soybeans enter the workshop for oil production, they need to go through processes such as cleaning, crushing, peeling, softening, embryo rolling, steaming and frying. The quality of soybean pretreatment is related to the quality of soybean oil and soybean meal.

The following is the soybean pretreatment process:

1. Clean up

Soybeans must first be cleaned and impurities removed. The silt, stones, stems and leaves, iron and moldy soybean seeds contained in the raw soybeans must be separated according to their different physical properties using methods such as screening, winnowing, magnetic separation, and specific gravity sorting. its removal. Cleaning equipment mainly includes vibrating screens, specific gravity stone removers, air suction separators, permanent magnet drums, etc.

2. Broken

If the moisture content of the cleaned soybeans is low, it can be directly crushed into 2-4 pieces. If the moisture content is high, it needs to be dried before crushing. During the soybean pretreatment process, peeling is required first. Soybean peeling requires reducing the water content to a certain ratio, drying the water, and then crushing it. 3. Soften

4. Rolling embryo

5. Steam and stir-fry

The process of steaming and frying the rolled raw embryo into mature embryo through moist heat treatment such as adding water, heating, and drying. Steaming and frying equipment mainly includes steaming and frying pots, which are either vertical or horizontal. Vertical steaming and frying pots are mostly used in large oil processing plants. During the steaming and frying operation, the dispersed oil inside the embryo absorbs water and heat, and collects on the inner and outer surfaces of the embryo, increasing its oil yield under the same pressing pressure.

1. Remove peptidic impurities in grease

Peptide-soluble impurities in oil are formed by mixing impurities such as phospholipids, proteins, sugars, and resins. These impurities in the oil will cause the edible oil to become darker and turbid. Phospholipids have strong water absorption, and they mix with other peptide-soluble impurities. The presence of will have a negative impact on the storage and processing of oil.

2. Remove free fatty acids from oil

There are two sources of free fatty acids in crude oil. One is oil seeds, and the other is triglycerides that are decomposed and released by heat or lipase during the oil production process. The content of free fatty acids in oil and fat is too high, which will produce pungent odor and affect the flavor of oil. Technically neutral oil will be hydrolyzed and rancid. Unsaturated fatty acids have poor stability to heat and oxygen, which will promote oxidative rancidity of oil. It itself is also a catalyst for the hydrolysis of fats and phospholipids. The solubility of water in fats and oils also increases with the increase in free fatty acids, so it needs to be removed.

3. Improve the color of oil and remove harmful impurities

The purpose of decolorizing edible oil is not only to reduce the color of oil and improve the quality of the product, but also to remove residues in the oil. In the decolorization process, adsorbents can be used to adsorb and remove these impurities to ensure the safety and hygiene of edible oil and prepare for the next step of processing.

4. Remove the odor of grease

The main components that cause oil odor during processing include low-molecular aldehydes, ketones, free fatty acids, unsaturated hydrocarbons, etc. New odors will also be produced during the preparation and processing of oils, such as burnt smell, solvent smell, drifting earth smell, etc. These odors will affect the quality of edible oil, so the deodorization process will take advantage of the great difference in volatility between triglycerides and odorous substances that affect the smell, color and stability of oil.
