Changchun, October 23-25 — The 13th Academic Annual Meeting of the Chinese Cereals and Oils Association (CCOA), themed "Digital-Intelligent Integration, Food-Security Future," was held in Changchun. The event was co-hosted by the CCOA and Jilin Agricultural University.
Huatai Intelligent Equipment Group participated as a science-innovation co-builder of the annual meeting. Mr. Yan Zipeng, Deputy to the Henan Provincial People's Congress and Chairman of Huatai, attended and presented the company's latest intelligent oil-processing equipment and technologies.
Leaders visited the Huatai booth
During the meeting, senior officials visited Huatai's booth, including:
Mr. Qin Yuyun, Deputy Director, National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration
Mr. Lu Jingbo, Chairman, Chinese Cereals and Oils Association
Ms. Wang Juan, Vice Chairman, CCOA / Vice President, Sinograin
Mr. Teng Zengtai, Chief Engineer, National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration
They spoke highly of Huatai's achievements in digitalization, intelligence and green upgrading of grain and oil equipment, and encouraged Huatai to contribute further to national food security and high-quality industry development.

Technical highlight: wax extraction and refining from edible oil
At the technical session, Mr. Chen Shan, Huatai's Technical Director, presented "Wax Extraction and Refining Technology in Edible Oil."
For years, the wax in rice bran oil and sunflower oil was treated as an impurity — removed and discarded.
Huatai's self-developed core technology integrates:
Efficient crystallization
Low-temperature crystal growth
Precision separation
This achieves efficient wax extraction and refining — turning former waste into high-value fine-chemical raw material.

Two benefits in one:
Waste to value — wax becomes a new revenue stream
Clearer oil — solves low-temperature clouding at the source
Experts agreed the technology completes the full chain — removal → extraction → refining → high-value utilization — and is significant for pushing edible oil processing toward refined, high-value and green upgrading.
